The Word of the Day....
I haven't really been writing on here in a while, simply because WE don't like to read. But I'm gonna start doing a post everyday around the same time called: The Word of the Day. Not because I think everyone needs an refresher course in L.Arts but because all the words are going to be relevant to what life brings along with it. So tune in everyday for your, Word of the Day.
The Word of the Day is....ENVY.
- an emotion that "occurs when a person lacks another's (perceived) superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it."
- That person either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it.
Those are the official definitions for it, but in my words: envy is simple. You saw IT, you want IT, and you wish to GOD that THEY didn't have IT. Whether it be a celebrity, Susie Blue, or the Johnsons next door, envy is the "coveting" of someone else's goods. Try not to do it. It looks pathetic, and whatever it is you are wanting can be achieved or gained by your own means. Never feel like you need to compete with someone. It takes too much energy, and its UNhealty. So, keep this in mind and tune in tomorrow for your next one.
