Let us imagine that Daniel Day-Lewis is in an upcoming feature film. In this upcoming feature film, Daniel Day-Lewis plays a mineral prospector, but on the side he's totally into Super Smash Bros. One day, he discovers a version of Smash Bros. for the Nintendo system of the future. He spends the rest of the movie ruining lives and drinking frozen dessert beverages.

What is this hypothetical movie called?

Nintendo's keynote press conference at this year's E3 gave us all kinds of news about the company's plans to re-conquer the prized middle ground between casual players and hardcore gamers. With new flagship console, Wii U, at the head of the fleet, Nintendo's rolling out new games and experiences for franchises familiar and foreign to Nintendo hardware. One of the most hotly-anticipated titles for any new Nintendo system in this day and age is Super Smash Bros., and reportedly, the Wii U and the 3DS will not disappoint. Nintendo announced today that Masahiro Sakurai is planning to start working on new version of Smash for Wii U and 3DS just as soon as he finishes up Kid Icarus: Uprising,the high-flying 3DS entry in the ancient Nintendo series. Sakurai intends for the two versions of the future Smash Bros. game to work together in some undisclosed fashion... hmm. Well, as long as I can still fling bolts of psychic lightning/fire/what have you around, I'll be happy. We ride together, we shoot ourselves in the butt with lightning together, Ness boys for life.

It's true...ya never know what you've got til its gone...in his case...Peace. There was a time where he had Peace...back long, long ago when Peace was his closest companion. Eventually he changed so much physically and psychologically that yes, he gained more things of this world he hadn't had before, but also gave up something greater...his Peace of mind. He's gotten in deep with some things recently. He's seen the error of his ways...but Chaos is with him now. Chaos HATES Peace. He hates his aura, his smell, his appearance, but most of all the power he once had. Chaos is Peace's older brother who decided this boring life of goodie goodness was dry and desired a life more "worth while" one with excitement, pain, and spontaneity. He got his wish....but he's jealous of his brother and wont let him win. The one who wished Peace away? He's searching through tiresome days and sleepless nights to have what he had before. Pray for me.

For those that don't pay attention to anything outside America, here's some pictures of the devastation from the earthquakes and typhoon that rocked Japan a few days ago:

HIP-HOP & R&B COMMUNITY RESPONDING TO JAPAN'S EARTHQUAKE

Its always sad to hear about a natural disaster that has struck across the world, in another country; this time it was an earthquake in Japan. Many members of the music community have sought to reach out to the people of Japan via social networking platform Twitter, offering their support and prayers just hours after the country was hit with a devastating 8.9 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake is reportedly the most powerful in Japan's recorded history, creating 30-foot tsunami waves which have swept across the country, leaving hundreds dead and hundreds more missing, with tens of thousands of people displaced from their homes.

The hip-hop and R&B community has responded with its prayers, from feuding rappers like Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj, to singers Chris Brown and Ne-Yo, all tweeting their sympathies.

"What's happening to Japan right now is indescribable," tweeted Houston rapper Bun B. "These extreme acts of nature are getting more and more frequent. Pray for them and us."

"My prayers go out to everyone in japan!!!" Chris Brown wrote. "We have to love one another and come together as a planet!!!!"

Fellow singer Ne-Yo tweeted."GOD BLESS JAPAN. My prayers go out to the people of japan hit by that terrible earthquake and tsunami, as well as the people of hawaii."

The outreach has come from all across the map, from entertainers, athletes and celebrities to fans. "I know were all busy...BUT pay attention the the news people...this could be YOU!!!" tweeted legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff. "Prayers sent out."

"My prayers go out to everyone in Japan and families affected," wrote rapper Lil Kim.

Nicki Minaj opted to let others speak for her, re-tweeting Red Cross info and the words of a fan, "Sending my thoughts n prayers out to Japan. And anywhere else affected by the earthquake/tsunami."

I'm glad those few in the music community would take time from their lives to help others all the way across the world.

Ja Rule Not In Prison Til June

Ja Rule's teeth are just fine, but the rapper's finances aren't in order, and as a result he's been extended a reprieve in his prison sentencing until June 8.


The Queens lyricist pleaded guilty to attempted gun possession in December, stemming from a July 2007 arrest. Lil Wayne, who Ja Rule performed with that night at the Cash Money star's Beacon Theater show, also was arrested that night and eventually served eight months in prison for the same offense. Wayne's sentence was postponed a number of times, including once for the rapper to undergo dental work.


According to the New York Post, a judge delayed Ja Rule's sentencing Wednesday morning (March 9) so the rapper could settle a federal tax issue. The Inc. rapper also will use the time to finish his next project, his attorney said. The furlough was issued by the judge against the prosecution's wishes, the Post also reported.


"We want to finish the album, and there's also a tax issue," his lawyer, Stacey Richman, said. "Somebody, an accountant, had filed an incorrect form, and this is to correct what was done in the past."


The case originated just over three years ago, when Ja Rule joined Lil Wayne at his first headlining gig in New York City. After the concert, both rappers' vehicles were pulled over by the New York Police Department in separate instances. Both were subsequently charged with illegal possession of a firearm; Lil Wayne also was brought up on drug charges.
