Pain.

Pain is defined as: an unpleasant physical or emotional sensation that can range from mild, localized discomfort to agony. The day he really discovered what that was: July 19, 2010. That definition is the key. In his opinion, its not TRUE pain unless you feel the physical and emotional parts of it. Physically, the pain he was feeling was effects of the surgery that sprung outta nowhere. He walked into the ER with a pain in his right side and walked out 5 hours later with 3 holes in his stomach, one in his arm, and a bloodstream riddled with medications. The emotional part came from the helplessness he was dealing with. He wasn't used to having people wait on him hand and foot (not really complaining) but he didn't necessarily enjoy the idea of himself being a burden to others. And yeaaaa OK, family will say JUST THAT; "OH we family...that's what family does." Well, that's just a part of him: he doesn't like being vulnerable like that. So between the physical and emotional aspects of that pain, he still had to deal with the fact that he was out of commission days before his birthday. But it was then that he realized that he wasn't in this all by himself. His eyes opened for the first time and he saw his family standing next to him ready to overcome the coming obstacles ahead of him. He looked to his right and saw a line of his friends ready to pray at a moments notice for his safe return from the hands of the hospital. And finally he looked above himself and saw the sky...something he hadn't really paid attention to before. He saw that the sky was his limit and right then, he asked himself if that pain was really worth him sacrificing his sanity and talent. His answer was clear. He started getting better and then he sat down a couple days later and decided to write a note...
